The flagship PGDM program is fashioned to prepare a participant to be an outstanding part of leader. Learning theory is only a microscopic part of the entire rigor at SDIPS. Most of the energies are spent trying to apply the tools and techniques of management to work out live situations.

The curriculum provides stimulating and rigorous studies in business management with a blend of strong industry interaction in order to contribute to the future supply of professional qualified and broadly trained managers. This is achieved at SDIPS through ongoing process of feedback, brainstorming and evolution of its curriculum to remain aligned with the emerging need of the market. The curriculum maintains a healthy balance of depth and breadth of knowledge and skills encompassing the strong conceptual base with the topping of contemporary issues and trends.

PGDM has been granted equivalence to MBA degree by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) under the PGDM programme. At SDIPS, students undergo learning and training in 30 compulsory papers and 12 specialization papers in areas such as:

Retail Management 

The first two semesters provide strong foundation in basic disciplines, and the remaining two semesters enable the student to specialize in their area of interest. The curriculum is updated every year to meet the business and social requirements.
